Sam King served as the Chief Executive Officer of Veracode from January 2021 to April 2024. Sam joined the company in 2006 and grew it from a startup to a scaled business achieving a valuation of $2.5B in 2022 and continued global expansion since. In 2021, Sam was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year® New England. Her leadership style has been recognized by The Commonwealth Institute and The Boston Globe, which has cited Veracode as one of the Top 100 Women-led Businesses in Massachusetts for several years running. In 2022, Sam was recognized as the Executive of the Year by Executive Women’s Forum, an organization that empowers and recognizes female leaders in Cybersecurity. Sam also sits on the boards of Progress Software. She is a member of the Massachusetts STEM Advisory Council (appointed by Governor Baker), and sits on the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
