An informed public is critical to healthy and engaged communities. AI is having a profound impact on information ecosystems, influencing both the content we see and how we see it. It also represents an exciting new set of capabilities for news publishers to report and engage with the public. At stake is the public’s understanding of our world and a shared foundation of facts.
Aspen Digital’s AI & News program aims to support global news organizations, technology leaders, policymakers, and citizens as they navigate changes in the news and media ecosystem. We gather cross-sector leaders to advance news media sustainability in the age of AI, as well as work with journalists to enhance their reporting of emerging technology. By convening these groups into direct dialogue, we explore shared values, clarify tradeoffs, and chart practical paths forward.
