Konstanze Frischen joined Aspen Digital in August 2023 as Managing Director. Previously, she was a Leadership Group Member at Ashoka, a global organization that invests in transformative ideas for social change. She launched and led Ashoka’s global Tech & Humanity practice, headed Ashoka North America, and before that founded Ashoka in Germany and then co-led Ashoka Europe. 

Throughout her career, Frischen has collaborated with and advised more than 100 award winning social entrepreneurs on strategy and impact, and has built partnerships with corporations, family-owned businesses, philanthropists and universities to scale social innovations. She also co-founded the Globalizer, an accelerator for social entrepreneurs.

She started her career as a journalist, first for CNN in London, then as a reporter and editor for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Germany. She has a background in social anthropology, with a Masters degree from the London School of Economics.

Before moving to the US in 2015, Konstanze Frischen was a board member of GLS Bank, a leading mutualist bank in Germany. She is an advisory member of CASE at Duke University and the author of “America’s Path Forward” by Georgetown University Press.
