Avery Cohn

Avery co-leads Clay, a nonprofit initiative based at Renaissance Philanthropy using open large Earth observation models and AI evals to support action in fields like nature, public health, climate, disaster resilience, and food systems. He is also a Senior Partner at Ode Partners, a design and intelligence partner to mission-driven organizations. He advises LGND AI and the Climate Curve Methane Prize and is a faculty member at Tufts University. Previously, he founded and led the food and agriculture program at ClimateWorks Foundation and advised the World Bank’s Agricultural Practice. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from UC Berkeley, which focused on aligning agriculture, climate, and development goals.
