Alexia Sanchez serves as Program & Operations Manager for the Women in the Workplace Innovation Challenge. In this role, Alexia brings a strong track record of operational excellence, including start-up experience, and assumes the primary role in project management and coordination of all activities related to the program. The Women in the Workplace Innovation Challenge is a new initiative that will advance innovative, high impact, actionable solutions that lower barriers for women in the workplace, and help women thrive to the benefit of themselves, their families, the economy, and the community at large.

Alexia comes in with a background in gender policy and social equity experience in the nonprofit space and federal government. Before joining Aspen Digital, Alexia was a public servant for three years as a White House staffer on the inaugural Gender Policy Council, contributing to policy development on gender equity both domestically and globally. In 2024, she transitioned into the Domestic Policy Council as Policy Advisor, where she supported initiatives at the intersection of racial and economic justice. 

Before serving in the federal government, she previously worked as the FirstGen Fellow at the National Immigration Law Center, a Senior Associate of Special Projects at Supermajority, and a Running Start Congressional Fellow in the United States Senate.

Alexia earned her B.A. in Political Science and Social Justice with minors in Philosophy and Latinx Studies from the University of Iowa as a proud first-generation college student.
