Benson Adomako

Benson Adomako is a recent M.S. graduate in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco. He has worked on research spanning climate risk, food security, agricultural productivity, and applied machine learning. He is currently working on a scalable country-level yield prediction research project that combines satellite and household survey data, with machine learning to improve crop yield prediction across Sub-Saharan Africa for food security monitoring and risk mitigation. His graduate thesis examined the relationship between agricultural productivity and conflict, using machine learning and satellite-based yield predictions to study how agricultural shocks may shape conflict risk across the region. Benson is especially interested in how AI and data systems can help identify agricultural vulnerability and support more timely, evidence-based responses to food insecurity and climate-related development challenges.
