As the brand strategy and marketing lead, Carner Derron expands the reach and reputation of Aspen Digital’s tech, cybersecurity, and information work. With 9+ years of blended agency and in-house experience, Carner brings the program’s brand to life across its channels, from web to social media, through integrated strategies.
With a global PR agency background, Carner was recruited to the Aspen Institute in 2020 to build up Aspen Digital’s brand, marketing, and communications functions. Five years later, the program is renowned among policymakers, corporate leaders, and newsroom heads. Previously, she managed major nonprofit and corporate social responsibility clients, like Nespresso and Horizon Organic, at the world’s second largest communications firm, Weber Shandwick.
Carner Derron is adept at tapping into what makes an organization special to its loyal users and then replicating that spark in new audiences. She has a BA in History from Vassar College. A longtime Colorado resident, Carner spends much of her time outside of work exploring the Rocky Mountains, and you will often find her hiking, climbing, and skiing.
