Iranga Kahangama leads Strategic Growth in Asia Pacific for Cape, a privacy, security, and resilience focused mobile carrier and technology company. Before joining Cape, he was the Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where he led efforts to combat nation-state cyber threats. Prior to DHS, he served at the White House National Security Council as Director of Cyber Incident Response where he authored Executive Order 14028, Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity. He also led the White House response to the cyber intrusions of Solar Winds, China’s campaign into Microsoft Exchange servers, and the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack. He began his career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation working on cyber and technology related matters. He is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
