Jorge Guajardo is a Partner at Dentons Global Advisors in Washington, DC. He has served as Mexico’s ambassador to China, where he visited every province, and as Consul General in Austin, TX. He has been involved in politics in Mexico, advising presidential campaigns on communication and opinion research, and served as press secretary to the first opposition governor of his native state of Nuevo Leon. He was a candidate for Congress in 2003.

Guajardo is a frequent lecturer on China, Mexico, and on the rise of populism/authoritarianism. He has a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He lives in Washington, DC.
