Felipe Garcia Vivanco is a cybersecurity and information security executive with over 20 years of experience protecting critical infrastructure across highly regulated industries. He currently serves as Corporate Director of Information Security and Group CISO of the Coppel Group — Mexico’s largest private retailer — where he leads enterprise-wide security strategy spanning retail operations, banking, retirement savings, and real estate, safeguarding the digital ecosystem of one of Latin America’s biggest economic groups.
Throughout his career, Felipe has held senior security and audit leadership roles across three major financial institutions, along with organizations in manufacturing, consumer goods, and global consulting. His expertise encompasses cybersecurity governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, incident response, and operational control hardening, from SOX IT control assessments and fraud investigations to digital forensics, revenue assurance, and security analytics automation.
A leader in translating complex cyber risk into boardroom-ready strategy, Felipe has directed large-scale incident response operations, led organizational security transformations, and built integrated security programs across multi-company structures. He specializes in unifying previously independent security teams into cohesive operations that maintain regulatory compliance while eliminating silos and strengthening collective defense posture.
