Maitreyi (“Mai”) Sistla is the Deputy Director of the Aspen Tech Policy Hub. In her role, she helps teach and advise the Hub’s science and technology trainees on impacting policy, and also manages the Hub’s operations.
Mai has experience in a variety of policy areas, including climate, technology, economic, and urban policy. Prior to this role, she worked on technology policy for the State of California, and urban policy at the University of Chicago’s Crime Labs. She has also worked as a field staffer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and a researcher at Berkeley’s Center for Effective Global Action. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in economics from Northwestern University. She is based in Washington, DC.
