Ricky Santiago

Ricky Santiago was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. His family moved to Louisville in 2001, due to his father’s work. Ricky comes from a long line of public service, son of a Bilingual Instructor for JCPS and the union rep for American Federation of Government Employees at our local social security office. Has served for over 8 years in local government, starting in the former Office for Globalization where he established the now called Global Leadership Academy, worked to become the second city ever to earn Welcoming City Certification by Welcoming America and attracting the Welcoming Conference to Louisville in 2018.

Currently he serves as the Digital Inclusion Manager for the City of Louisville, where he works to deploy strategies to combat the digital divide, which has earned the City of Louisville, Digital Inclusion trailblazer designation 5 years in a row. He serves on multiple boards like the local chapter for the National Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce and the prosperity agenda, he has a masters in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Immigrant Organizations as a workforce solution, a certificate in Human Rights, has a beautiful wife and a handsome and brilliant 4-year-old son named Leo.
