Cindy Joung (she/her) is a product equity expert and a consultant with the Tech Accountability Coalition at Aspen Digital.
A recognized leader in Product Inclusion & Equity, Cindy combines a decade of product management experience across media and entertainment with a mission to create inclusive, equitable, and representative products for all. Before joining Aspen Digital, Cindy was the inaugural Lead Product Manager for Product Inclusion at Snap, and prior to that, she founded and led the Product Inclusion team at Verizon Media.
After graduating from Northwestern University, she began her career in the entertainment industry, weaving from film publicity to entertainment law before transitioning to digital media to launch an entertainment vertical on MSN. In 2015, she joined Verizon Media via an acquisition, holding product management roles across the AOL and Yahoo brand portfolios, ultimately introducing the company’s first product inclusion initiatives.
Passionate about building communities and championing inclusion and belonging, Cindy Joung founded and served as a Global Advisor to Verizon Media’s Asian employee resource group. She is also the founder and advisor of a national Book Club at Gold House, a nonprofit collective focused on accelerating inclusive unity, representation, and success of Asian/Pacific Islanders (APIs).
