Sean is EO/ Co-Founder tech startup/ Ballistic Ventures, a security technology company integrating cybersecurity and physical security. He is a globally recognized leader in cybersecurity, digital trust, national security, and enterprise resilience.
Before founding the company, Sean was a Principal at PwC, where he served in the Office of the Chairman and as the firm’s Global Cybersecurity and Privacy Leader. He previously led PwC’s multibillion-dollar Cyber, Risk & Regulatory practice, one of the firm’s largest businesses, significantly expanding its capabilities, market presence, and client impact across industries and geographies.
Over the course of his career, Sean has advised CEOs, boards, and government leaders on their most consequential security, technology, and risk challenges. He is a trusted advisor to Fortune 100 leadership teams, particularly in the financial services and technology sectors, helping organizations navigate the convergence of cybersecurity, physical security, regulation, geopolitical risk, and digital transformation. Sean counsels boards and executive teams on governance, risk oversight, crisis response, and organizational resilience, with a particular focus on positioning security as a driver of trust, growth, and business performance—not simply as a risk-management function. He has advised C-suites during some of the most significant cyber incidents of the past decade, supporting executive decision-making, regulatory response, breach investigations, stakeholder communications, and long-term remediation.
Before entering the private sector, Sean served for more than 26 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, culminating in his appointment as Deputy Director. In that role, he oversaw approximately 36,000 personnel and an annual budget of more than $8 billion. During his tenure, he helped transform the FBI into an intelligence-driven national security organization, launched the Bureau’s Next Generation Cyber initiative, and developed an operating framework implemented across all 56 FBI field offices. His leadership strengthened the Bureau’s ability to address evolving threats while preserving its global leadership in law enforcement and national security.
