WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 7, 2024 – The 2024 Aspen Cyber Summit will spotlight a unique session featuring National Football League (NFL) SVP & CIO Gary Brantley, LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games CEO Reynold Hoover, and Diverse Representation Founder Jaia Thomas on the evolving impact of cybersecurity on global sporting events. This announcement comes on the heels of the conclusion of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where the passing of the flag marked the symbolic transfer of responsibilities from Paris to Los Angeles, as well as the kickoff of the NFL preseason.

Bad actors have a persistent interest in high-profile global events, underscoring the need to safeguard athlete privacy and ensure event safety. In an era of pervasive digital surveillance, cybersecurity measures play a crucial role in protecting identities and securing physical data and its integrity. The session will explore how major organizations, like the NFL, are navigating these risks and setting new standards to secure the future of sports.

Paladin Global Institute President Kemba Walden and California Institute of Technology Professor Maria Spiropulu also join the lineup of cyber and national security experts to take the stage in Washington, DC, this September 18.
