2024 Consumer Cyber Readiness Report

Surveying over 2,000 US adults, the report found:

  • Nearly half have encountered a cyberattack or digital scam attempt
  • 1 in 10 have lost money to a cyberattack or digital scam
  • Black and Hispanic Americans who experienced an attack are twice as likely to lose money compared to white Americans
  • Only 36% use a password manager to create and store strong passwords
  • 80% use multifactor authentication for at least one online account

The report also explores emerging trends in digital scams, the adoption of privacy protection tools, and consumer confidence in data privacy.
